Edsbyverken AB organisation

When the craftsman Lars Fredrik Pettersson started up his small carpenter’s shop in Edsbyn a hundred years ago, he could not have foreseen where that company would be a century later: today Edsbyverken is a modern industrial company developing and manufacturing office furniture. Today’s production methods bear no comparison with the craftsmanship of those days. However, something we have taken care to preserve and refine over the past hundred years is our knowledge of wood and the tradition of making fine furniture that was established in 1899. Added to this, our business idea is the same now as it was then – to make furniture perfectly suited to its purpose, with feeling and consideration for the people who use it.

Generations of Experience

Nowadays the company itself provides practically all the resources needed for the development, production and marketing of office furniture. One smaller part of its manufacturing activity is shelf systems for the home, most of which are exported to Japan and Germany. Our market for office furniture primarily consists of Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Our yearly turnover is around SEK 390 million and the company employs 290 people.
